JERZEES® Sportshirts with SpotShield®
You don't have to change anything about the way you embellish these garments.
Screenprint or embroider them just like you would any 50/50 sportshirt.
Even though we have added a valuable feature to our JERZEES® sportshirts, we have not raised prices.
Please check with your apparel supplier for the most recent prices.
These garments work especially well for restaurants, healthcare providers, service businesses,
and schools-anywhere people work or play near liquids and potential stains.
SpotShield® will work with most water- and oil-based liquids and semi-liquids.
Examples include water, colas, ketchup, beer, wine, salad dressing, and milk.
Most liquids will simply bead up and roll off the garment. For other materials, simply shake the shirt or gently blot the spill with a cloth.
Most residual marks will come out in the wash.
Yes. Launder these garments like you would any other sportshirts. Because individual fibers are coated with SpotShield®, soapy water can still
penetrate the fabric in the wash. See each garment's care label for details.
SpotShield® will repel most water- and oil-based liquids and semi-liquids.
SpotShield® retains its stain-repelling feature for at least 20 washings.
Yes. Follow the normal washing instructions found on the garment care label.
Yes. In fact, the heat from ironing can help reinvigorate the stain fighting properties of the SpotShield® treatment.
Ironing will not, however, make SpotShield® last indefinitely.
No. When submerged in water or subjected to large quantities
of liquid, like in a rain storm, the garment and wearer will get wet.
No. Four key JERZEES® sportshirts are available with SpotShield®. They are:
437M Adult 50/50 Jersey and 437Y Youth 50/50 Jersey Sportshirts and 438M Adult 50/50 Pique and 438Y Youth 50/50 Pique Sportshirts.
JERZEES® sportshirts with SpotShield® breathe as well as any 50/50 jersey or pique shirt. Since individual fibers of cotton are coated with SpotShield®,
not the finished garments, air can still penetrate the fabric, providing a comfortable fit.
SpotShield® has no effect on the hand, color, or shrinkage of these shirts. In fact, the look and feel
of these shirts will be the same as without the SpotShield® treatment.
Yes. SpotShield® has passed flammability requirements for all 50 states.
No. JERZEES® uses a proprietary treatment called SpotShield®.
